Wrong Turn Movie Review

Warning: Pictures may be frightening to younger viewers

Hello Everyone! I give you my favorite Horror movie yet, and yes.. I do have a soft spot in my heart for creepy, cannibalistic, inbred mountain men as you may have read on my profile. I wouldn't say this was the best horror movie I have ever seen BUT I have been obsessing over this movie for quite some time. I watched number four two months ago (due to them not being really in any order to watch), and the thought of the Hillbillies entering my house and chopping me up for food in the middle of the night scared the HELL out of me, but that's what I like to look for in a horror movie!

The cast consists of:

Far left to Right: 

-Eliza Dushku ( Dollhouse, True lies) plays Jessie.

- cutie, Desmond Harrington (Gossip girl, Dexter) plays Chris Flynn

- Emmanuelle Chriqui (Don't mess with the Zohan, Entourage) plays Carly

Jeremy Sisto (Law and Order, Thirteen) plays Scott

HOT STUFF, Keven Zegars (Dawn of the dead, Frozen) plays Evan 

Lindy Booth (Cry wolf, Dawn of the dead) plays Francine

(They were in the movie Dawn of the Dead together, almost a year after wrong turn was filmed, and they both played love interests! :)

Spoiler Alert: Synopsis!

Chris Flynn is making his way to the next town for an interview, When an oil spill on the main highway occurs, Chris is forced to turn around and try to take a different path to make it to his destination... But he ends up taking "the wrong turn"! On his way down the road he drops his CD causing him to lose focus and ends up crashing into another car who had popped tires... Now they are all screwed.

Two stay back as the remaining four go for help. In the meantime, Evan hears a noise and goes to investigate (What an idiot, you could totally see that coming.) Francine goes after him and finds his shoe in the dirt next to remains of his scalp and ear. Francine gets slashed from behind with barbed wire and has her head cut from the mouth.

The other four who went for help, end up walking into the Hillbillies house on their way to find a phone. When the Hillbillies come back to the Cabin, the four are forced to hide. The hillbillies drag in Francine's corpse inside and cut her body up in front of them.

Later, as the Hillbillies go for their nap, The four try to escape, only to wake them up, causing yet another chase. The four run to a field full of abandoned cars and steal the Hillbillies to drive away to safety, but in order to take the truck, they needed to make a distraction. Scott runs into the forest while the other three drive around and pick him up from the road, The plan fails when Scott is shot three times in the back with an arrow.

Chris, Jessie and Carly continue driving until they stop because of a road blockage. They set foot in the forest and find a watchtower. They hide up there until the Hillbillies find them again, they light the Tower on fire causing them to jump out the window and into the trees.

Carly dies by getting sliced through the mouth with an ax, decapitating her bottom from her upper half, It shows her body fall and her head on the top of the ax.

The final two escape, hiding behind a waterfall for the night to rest. When they awaken, Jessie is Captured while Chris runs down to the road where he saw a police car. The officer gets shot with an arrow in the eye by Saw tooth. Chris runs into the woods before the Hillbilly gets in the car, and when he drives off, Chris hides under the car as he rides off, bringing them back to the cabin.

Chris frees Jessie and they have their final showdown with the Hillbillies and drive off to safety.

The film ends with a cop pulling up to the cabin, and gets chopped up from Three fingers, His face looks very disturbing (Below, found on google)... But I love it! AHHH and the end, Two of them live.... Hurray!

this movie, surprisingly got a 6.0 out of 10 on the IMDB website.. But I would rate it a 7.5 out of 10!! : D

This movie was very amusing and I would watch it again. I love how the characters were portrayed and the acting wasn't terrible. This movie is a lot similar to the hills have eyes in the fact of the characters looking similar. I will never step foot in the woods again after watching this movie. But please, can you let the Hot ones live until the end, please~~~~~!!!! (Keven Zegers <3)
